To lead people far from God into a growing relationship with Him.
OUR PASTORS
Still clear as day, that one God moment when He speaks clear about the plans He has for you. The moment when scripture comes to life, and now, walking out of the boat and onto the water is easier said (and read) then done.
After years of prayer, conversations, seeking counsel and looking into the needs of the city of Salinas, we knew clearly that God had called us to plant Venture Church Salinas. He began to reveal His plan and gave us a heavy burden for this region.
A church that would help unleash hope to a desperate, in-need of Jesus-city. A church that would love people well, serve Salinas with excellence and lead people to say Yes to Jesus. Our heart was to build a place that would be a home to all ages and represent the diversity of our area.
Venture Church was birthed from a heart of two people, who at a young age, walked away from church but in turn experienced God's love and grace. From the beginning, Venture Church was to be a church Christians and Non-Christians, would love to attend. A church that would be known for what we are for, not for what we are against.
In all of our time doing ministry together, this, by far, has been the biggest step of faith we have ever taken. But as big as this step has been, we are "Godfident" that we are where He has called us to be, doing what He has called us to do - leading this house has in turn, been one of the biggest gifts.

JESUS IS OUR MESSAGE
The purpose of Venture is to share the hope of Jesus. Jesus is our message. We are Jesus people, not religious people. Methods and trends will come and go, seasons will change but God and His message will remain. Therefore, how we filter what we do will always be about Him.

PEOPLE ARE OUR HEART
Our heart is for ALL people. All people are loved by Jesus. We make no apologies for being specifically focused on reaching those far away from God. We desire to bring the broken home at all costs. We believe that where sin abides, grace abounds much more. We choose people and purpose over preference.

IRRATIONAL GENEROSITY IS OUR PRIVILEGE
We will lead with irrational generosity. Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a privilege. We GET TO BE generous with our time, talents and treasure. We go first in our giving. God has given richly towards us, it’s our honor to give back to Him. We truly believe it is better to give than to receive.

We are going to always do the best with what we have. We’re on time, engaged and prepared. We don’t do things halfway. If we’re going to do it, it’s going to be to the best of our ability. Excellence honors God and inspires people.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP IS OUR IDENTITY
We are contributors and not consumers. If you’re too big to serve then you are too small to lead. We believe the greatest leadership is service to others. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the platform, everyone serves. Every role is different but they are all important. If you're not helping, you're not helping!

We dream big. We believe big. We don't need to minimize what we want to do or where we want to go because of our abilities, strength, or resources. We believe big because we have a big God. We won't insult Him with small thinking and safe living.

INTEGRITY MATTERS
We love the lost. We love our city. We believe that we can make the greatest impact when we excessively out-pour God's love so that the message we speak of cannot be ignored. How we are while we serve is not more important than our daily life. If we live with integrity, nothing else matters. If we don't live with integrity, nothing else matters. We choose to honor God and His church with integrity.
